My name is Darren Berrecloth and i live in a small town called Qualicum Beach

I originally started riding bikes when i was a kid well what am I kidding everyone rode bikes when they were kids because we had no cars. The first real bike i had was a specialized rockhopper hard tail, and it didnt take me very long to destroy it, before i knew it the wheels

were bent the bars were bent and i did not have enough money to keep fixing it.

So my local bike shop convinced me to buy a bmx if I wanted to keep doing jumps So I did then I started racing and one thing led to another and here i am.

A professional freerider for specialized, travelling the planet searching for the sickest terrain and riding comps. I am currently tavelling a ton and am super excited to have the opportunities to explore the unkown and push my own limits everyday. I keep pinching myself to make sure its not a dream but yes it is reality and yes I do ride for the best bike company in the business.

hobbies; Snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, skiing, bmxing, motoxing, quading, wakeboarding, and building trails and stunts.

I was nominated for alternative sports person of the year at the Laureus sports awards in portugal
Voted as one of the 25 coolest people now by Outside magazine

What a week Ive had

What a week Ive had. It started out with going to the most unreal hockey games I've ever seen with westerlund cody swansborough and sean from specialized. Man what a game that was. So after that I waggled my hung over tail back to the island and got back to my normal life which consists of rehab at the gym and the pool. which is going awesome by the way. I'm at four weeks this wednesday and I feel great, no pain and barely any discomfort. The only thing I have going on right now is sore back muscles which is pretty normal. So for now I am doing some yardwork and getting ready to go to monterey for my buddy cam mccauls wedding. Yup another man down lol. Jeepers it seems that everyones in a hurry to get married and have kids. All my friends back home have been getting hitched for years now but for some dumb reason they all get married in the summer on weekends like crankwerx...... So safe to say I've had to miss several of my close friends weddings due to contests and this summer is no different. Oh well and ps I'll be shredding soon.
