What an awesome weekend I had at the first round of the Australian national series held in Thredbo. I flew over last thursday and my mate Moshy picked me up from the airport. We headed down to Thredbo and met up with Troy and Dylan from SRAM. Friday and Saturday was practice and I was loving doing runs on the chairlift. I rode all day with Troy and felt I had pretty good speed. The track is long and rough so at the end of the day I was pretty worn out. Race day we got a few showers but the track was really grippy and fun. In my race run I felt smooth and pretty solid the whole way. I'm a bit rusty from not racing in a while but it felt good to put together a solid run. I ended up getting 2nd behind Troy who was flying all week. I'm heading home now to get faster and come back and beat him next time.
