With Mazda affiliation since 2007, the #40 Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8 GT piloted by actor Patrick Dempsey and experienced professional racing drivers Joe Foster and Charles Espenlaub has become a regular top-five runner in these prestigious events. With events ranging from two hours to 24 hours in duration, Rolex Series fans are treated to a unique, high-tech form of motorsport wherein driver changes are part of the normal gas and tire pit stops. The 2010 season has gotten off to a great start for the Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8 GT as it came across the line in 3rd place in the grueling Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona season opening event.
