Darren Berrecloth

My name is Darren Berrecloth and i live in a small town called Qualicum Beach

I originally started riding bikes when i was a kid well what am I kidding everyone rode bikes when they were kids because we had no cars. The first real bike i had was a specialized rockhopper hard tail, and it didnt take me very long to destroy it, before i knew it the wheels

were bent the bars were bent and i did not have enough money to keep fixing it.

So my local bike shop convinced me to buy a bmx if I wanted to keep doing jumps So I did then I started racing and one thing led to another and here i am.

A professional freerider for specialized, travelling the planet searching for the sickest terrain and riding comps. I am currently tavelling a ton and am super excited to have the opportunities to explore the unkown and push my own limits everyday. I keep pinching myself to make sure its not a dream but yes it is reality and yes I do ride for the best bike company in the business.

hobbies; Snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, skiing, bmxing, motoxing, quading, wakeboarding, and building trails and stunts.

I just got back from a epic filming trip

October 20, 2011

I just got back from a epic filming trip with freeride entertainment in the interior of BC and man what a fun trip it was.

The shoot was for the movie "where the trail ends" and we went to northern bc on the fraser river and set up camp for nine days, It was definitely camping but at the same time it was posh.

We had two chefs preparing food for us and we had Doug our jet boat driver and two helicopters, one helicopter for transporting people and one for filming.

Upon the first two days of scouring the terrain we ended updeciding that most of the terrain was way too firm to ride so we ventured a ways down river and were pleased to find the zone!

The area where we did most of the riding was like a amphitheatre full of gnarly big mountain lines all with minimal work to be done to the runouts. The riders on this trip were myself Cam Zink both the Mccaul brothers, Kurt Sorge and James Doerfling. We all found and rode sick lines and with the help of the cineflex camera strapped to the heli the footage turned out epic, we even shot us ripping through a tight canyon in the jet boat with the one heli right on our tail with the other heli filming right behind it. The trip was a super fun time with many good laughs and great memories from all the boys on this trip, our entire crew was 21 people.

Stay tuned for tales from myself on the next adventure!
