I leave tomorrow for the 5th stop of the

Pro XCT series near Mount Morris-Wisconsin. Last year, I had a pretty good race

coming just shy of the win in 2nd place and it was probably one of my favourite

races all year. The course is just really fun and beautiful and the fans last

year were insane.

I am pretty happy I am 100% healthy again

after what seemed like forever I was sick with that nasty Euro cold. The legs

seem to be coming around and starting to feel like my pre-europe self again.

My mom was over for a week visiting so that

was really nice to catch up with her here in Victoria and she was a great

distraction from the heart breaking Vancouver Canucks as they once again got

the hopes as high as possible then just totally choked-classic Vancouver. I was

really just happy the hockey season was over and the city could just go back to

normal. I wish I had saved all my alcohol related receipts to see how much I

spent during the entire playoffs, actually I am happy I didn't and pretty sure

that stuff can't be written off haha.

I raced the Test of Metal in Squamish this

past weekend and was having a really great time despite the rain and mud until

I had a unfortunate mechanical problem. There was about 30 min to go and I

simply could not ride my bike anymore and had to DNF, major bummer but at least

my good training buddy and friend Kris Sneddon won...his time was good too.

Looking forward to catching up with the

team in the next few days and stoked to pick up where I left off after Mellow

Johnny's.
