Things have been pretty slowMay 31, 2011
Things have been pretty slow since the first world cup in South Africa about 5 weeks ago. In my race there I felt strong during my run but made a lot of little mistakes that I feel held me out of getting my goal of top 5 position. I was bummed just because I feel I should of rode better in the places I was making mistakes but thats ok. I have had time to think about it all and hopefully I have learnt from them. I ended up getting 8th so its still ok points for the championship.
Since South Africa I went back home and rode my moto a little bit, we had some rain so the tracks were in perfect condition. I then went on a fishing trip for a week with a few buddies about 12 hours drive north of perth and that was cool. I have never been fishing out deep from a boat before and ended up throwing up a few times the first day so after that I took some sea sickness tablets and that sorted things out.
When I got back from there I was ready to get back training but ended up with some crazy stomach bug from raw chicken so things have been pretty mellow.
Im feeling good now and been riding a little bit and really enjoying myself on the bike lately so Im looking forward to the 2nd world cup next weekend in Ft William, Scotland.
