Last season Sylvain was once again one of the team's best riders, proving his class and determination in every race in which he participated. Sylvain was a major player in the northern classics as he rode in support of his teammates, and he also gave himself a splendid victory in the Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde, thanks to a fantastic performance in the time trial during the penultimate stage. His newfound groove in the time trial after a few years of ups and downs also allowed Sylvain to capture the fourth national time trial championship of his career, and earned him a place in the "Magnificent 6" club that won the World Championship TTT in Valkenburg.
