Tom Boonen

Tom is a star on the international cycling scene. He holds over 100 victories so far, including two Ronde Van Vlaanderen, three Paris-Roubaix and a world championship, making him one of the most successful athletes of his generation. He’s a generous athlete and was born to attack; he also manages to make the most out of sprints, putting his speed skills to use. Those same skills earned him the green jersey in the 2007 Tour de France. In the last two seasons Tom has been beset by a series of injuries, which have compromised his results. Nonetheless, in 2011 he managed to win Gent-Wevelgem. Tom is also committed to charitable activities like the Boonen & Friends cyclo-cross organization, which promotes the Move to Improve Association. He loves his work so much that he refers to it as a “lifestyle”. In 2012 Tom will once again lead the team in the cobbled classics. He’s never been interested in records, but a third Ronde Van Vlaanderen or a fourth Paris-Roubaix would launch him straight into cycling legend.
