Sam Betten

Born in Brisbane Australia I quickly followed in my parents’ footsteps maintaining a very active lifestyle from an early age. After running cross country and track in junior school as well as cycling with my father I decided to join a local triathlon squad.

After competing and medaling at both the State and National Schools Triathlon Championships I joined forces with Queensland Academy of Sport coach Stephen Moss and after winning consecutive Australian ITU Junior Elite Championships turned professional in 2006.

My main focus is on the ITU Olympic Distance format of the sport and with the help and support of Specialized I hope to claim many more titles and continue to rise to the top in the sport of triathlon.
