I recently graduated with a BComm degree from the University of Stellenbosch, a town which has afforded me the time and surroundings to live out my passion for triathlon, multisport and mountain biking for the last few years. I'm not sure of many places on this earth where you could make a lecture or two for the day, go wine tasting and fit in a training session or two.

It was in this environment that I have slowly got to the know many of the Specialized Factory Team athletes who frequent here for training and the lifestyle and have joined for the year on circuit.

"The season has nearly come to an end for the Factory Team, but things are steadily picking up

more and more momentum in Kayamandi as the Songo.info team prepare for the what looks to be

a great summer of racing and training. The BMX track has survived a very wet winter and the kids

are out riding 5 days a week in preparation for their next event in 2 weeks time.

This past weekend saw the Songo team hosting its first BMX League event at their home track

and what a success it was. With over 60 riders in attendance there was plenty of action from hard

racing to big crashes as well as combatting the local South Easter wind and heat. Go to songo.info to check out the full report and photos. "
