May 19, 2011Had a great trip over here. Some trips are
marred by headaches including lost luggage, delayed flights, farters on
airplanes, screaming babies etc...but this trip was flawless. I left my house
early Tuesday morning(thanks babe), and arrived here where we are staying in
the town of Pickering about 12 noon on Wednesday. Door to door that is around a little under 24 hrs which is
not that bad, I slept as much as I could and my favourite sleeping aid is 0.5
gram Clonazapam tablets. A little red wine and a few of those and you are good
to go and not feeling groggy or tired when you wake up. If you don't drink wine
then I feel bad for you.
Went out for a little spin Wednesday after
building our bikes and felt pretty good, made a awesome dinner and following a
massage buy our awesome national team masseuse Kelly, I was off to dreamland
for a solid 10 hours, the only wake up was around 4 AM and I think it was a
calling because the Canucks beat San Jose to take a 2-0 lead in the series and
that would of been right around the time of the end of the game.
Rode the course today and one word:
awesome. It is so fun and hard and the Specialized Epic in my opinion is just
perfect. There is a technical rocky climb and it seems so easy on the bike, it
helped the legs and body feel pretty darn good too.
Well, off the get some groceries and
keeping the good vibes going!
And as Deaner would say, turn down the
suck, turn up the good.
